The Chinese Year of the Horse

If you were born under the Chinese year sign of the Horse, you're great fun! Horses are usually strong, handsome people with bags of energy, natural athletes often drawn to outdoor sporty activities. Not suited to paperwork, people born under this sign dislike dealing with detail and need plenty of exercise to keep alert.

Horses need to be the centre of attention and need to be liked. However, they can be stubborn and want complete freedom to do as they wish regardless of other's feelings. Instinctive and intuitive, Horses care little for other people's opinions.

People born under this sign like to dress up and they organise great parties. Never dull, likeable and great fun, if you're going on holiday and want to take a friend, choose a Horse!

There are twelve Chinese year signs in the Chinese Zodiac. Unlike in our western astrology, in Chinese astrology each sign lasts for a year. Legend has it that as Buddha was about to depart the earth he summoned all the animals to say goodbye. Only twelve turned up so, to show his appreciation of their loyalty, he vowed that from then on each year would bear the name of one of the animals.

Chinese astrology is based on the Lunar Calendar. This means the Chinese New Year does not fall on the same day each year and can vary by as much as 3 weeks. So for babies born in late January/early February it is necessary to consult the charts to determine the correct sign.

A Gist on The Chinese Zodiac Tattoo Horse

It is natural for us people to be curious of our astrological signs whether it is the western astrological signs of Libra, Scorpio, Gemini, etc., or the Chinese zodiac signs such as horse, tiger, dragon, rat, etc. The willingness to know what sign symbolizes our personality is one of our natural desires. And also in search of this, we become more aware of what trait or characteristics we have. Sometimes we find ourselves agreeing to the searched zodiac sign to the extent that we wanted to show the world that 'this is my sign and I flaunt those qualities that my sign possess'. There are many ways of showing it to the crowd and one of which is putting on a tattoo.

The Chinese Zodiac Tattoo Horse is one of the Chinese symbols of the Chinese astrology. Inking the figure of a horse or its corresponding Chinese language can be both attractive.

In China, in its prehistoric time, they merely symbolized speed and power, for some of the ancient gods travels and appears with this animal. In this early times, have also combined the horse in the snake and dragon for they all possess a symbolism of power. The Chinese knows what signs are they under because they believed that before they take their journey in life they should consult first their Chinese astrological sign. If you are born in the year of the horse you might be high-spirited person and energetic but quick tempered. You might as well be a kind of person who is humorous but intelligent.

Numerous people took the Chinese symbol of a horse as their tattoo because they assumed that they hold those qualities of a zodiac sign horse even they are not born in the years 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002.

Each of the Chinese zodiac sign has a corresponding element and it can either be a fire, earth, wood, water and metal. However the animal horse is patterned in the natural element of fire. For it shows characteristics like a fire of being independent, confident, determined, flexible but impatient. That is why if you chose to have a Chinese zodiac tattoo horse you can have it designed with a fire, or burning hairs or running into a fire. You can play with the designs of your tattoo as long as the meaning and representation of it, both in animal form and in Chinese language illustration, remains.

A tattoo is all about individualism. Take that away and you just have ink. That's why you want a tattoo design that looks amazing now and in the future.
